An Emotional Tango Farewell to Buenos Aires
I'm on my way back home with a mix of emotions. While Europe is where I currently reside, this trip confirmed that Buenos Aires will always be my other home.
Despite being away for 11 years, my friends and even unexpected fans welcomed me back with open arms. I danced to my heart's content, discovered a new passion for writing, and grew as a tango dancer.
I'm going back home feeling happy and a little overwhelmed, and I know it will take some time to fully process everything that happened during this month-long trip.
Before leaving, I wanted to say a proper goodbye to everyone I met during my stay. So Thursday night at milonga Lujos, I made sure to catch Oscar before leaving. As we hugged and kissed, he said, "Please don't stay away for another 10 years." I promised him that I'd be back in November and we both said, "Te quiero."
To all my friends in Buenos Aires, thank you for making this trip so special. I'll miss you all and can't wait to see you again in November.
