Chapter 0 — Warming Up: Body and Mind

Let the body shake off the day.

Bounce. Breathe.

Feel the weight of your feet on the ground.

 

This isn’t preparation for something.

It is already the dance.

 

Shake hands, arms, and feet.

Bounce gently in place.

Rotate joints: neck, shoulders, hips, knees.

 

Breathe into your center.

Let go of what you don’t need.

 

Begin where you are.
