TANGO YOUR LIFE

A documentary by Chan Park
A poetic journey into the heart of
Buenos Aires—where tango is not performance, but life itself.

Filmed over four years in the milongas and neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, Tango Your Life follows Chan Park’s personal discovery that tango is not about learning movements. Tango is feeling—born from music, shaped by culture, and shared through the embrace.

The film captures the voices and everyday stories of Porteños, the keepers of tango’s living tradition. Through friendship, music, and walking in harmony with partners on crowded dance floors, the documentary reveals how tango becomes a way of understanding life, passion, and presence.

Released in 2012 and featured in film festivals and tango communities around the world, Tango Your Life continues to inspire dancers and seekers who want to experience the soul of traditional tango.

In Buenos Aires, tango is more than steps or fancy movements. Porteños, referring to the residents in Buenos Aires, describe tango as life danced on the floor. Chan Park, author of a book titled Tango Zen: Walking Dance Meditation, has spent four years in Buenos Aires to discover that tango is about feeling, which is inspired by music and shared between partners connected through embrace while walking together in unison. This documentary film tells his discovery of tango as culture, music, dance, friendship, love, and daily living in Buenos Aires, all of which have helped discover his inner passion for life.
