Kassel Adventures: Unexpected and Unforgettable!
¡Aventuras en Kassel: Inesperadas e Inolvidables!
Hey friends! I just got back from an absolutely exhilarating weekend in Kassel, Germany, and I'm bursting to share my adventures with you.
The trip started with buzzing excitement, all set to meet 40 eager participants at the workshop. But, plot twist! I missed my train connection. Talk about a heart-racing start! It was only 1 PM, and already the day was full of surprises. A quick check on my phone revealed no more trains due to a strike.
But hey, no train, no problem! I decided to drive there instead.
Now, let me tell you, driving on the German Autobahn is something else! I've been behind the wheel since '82, but never over 128 km/h. This time, as I hit around 160 km/h, it felt like I was floating—experiencing an out-of-body sensation and seeing a childhood astronaut dream come to life, in a way!
And guess what? My speedometer goes up to 220 km/h. I'll let you guess how fast I went!
One of the highlights of my trip was meeting Thomas Stellmach, an Academy Award winner, at my workshop. Yes, you heard that right! Thomas, who won in 1996 for his animated short film 'Quest,' was right next to me in the photo. You can check out his incredible work here:

¡Hola amigos! Acabo de regresar de un fin de semana absolutamente emocionante en Kassel, Alemania, y estoy ansioso por compartir mis aventuras con ustedes.
El viaje comenzó con mucha emoción, listo para encontrarme con 40 participantes ansiosos en el taller. Pero, ¡golpe de escena! Perdà mi conexión de tren. ¡Vaya comienzo emocionante! Eran solo la 1 PM, y el dÃa ya estaba lleno de sorpresas. Una rápida revisión en mi teléfono reveló que no habÃa más trenes debido a una huelga.
Pero, ¡eh, sin tren, sin problema! Decidà conducir hasta allÃ.
Ahora, déjenme contarles, ¡conducir en la Autobahn alemana es otra cosa! He estado conduciendo desde el '82, pero nunca a más de 128 km/h. Esta vez, cuando alcancé unos 160 km/h, sentà como si estuviera flotando, experimentando una sensación de desprendimiento corporal y viendo un sueño de infancia de astronauta hacerse realidad, ¡de alguna manera!
¿Y adivinen qué? ¡Mi velocÃmetro sube hasta 220 km/h! Les dejo adivinar qué tan rápido fui.
