Can You Meditate While Dancing Tango?
Have you ever lost yourself in the music, where every step feels effortless and time seems to dissolve? What if tango wasn’t just a dance—but a form of meditation?
🔹 Master the Tango Walk: Discover how simple steps become infinite expressions of musicality, connection, and creativity.
🔹 Enhance Partner Connection: Learn to communicate beyond steps—through breath, posture, and energy exchange.
🔹 Integrate Mindfulness into Dance: Experience the stillness between movements, deepening your sensitivity to music and your partner.
🔹 Expand Your Musicality & Sensibility: Tune into tango’s emotional depth by embracing its pauses, rhythms, and improvisational nature.
🔹 Let Go & Flow: Surrender to the dance, allowing emotions to guide your movement in a natural, expressive way.
🔹 Milonga Experience: Depending on the center’s availability and participant interest, there may be an opportunity to experience a traditional Milonga.
Rooted in the wisdom of Argentine milongueros and inspired by Zen, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong, Tango Zen offers more than a workshop—it is an invitation to experience tango as a moving meditation.
Open for beginners and experienced people, being singles or being couples. Retreat content may be adapted to suit participants’ needs and composition.
Tango Zen Advanced Retreat
March 29-31 Register>>

Deepen Your Connection, Presence, and Awareness Through Tango Zen
The Tango Zen Advanced Retreat is designed for those who have previously participated in a Tango Zen Introductory Retreat—whether at Benediktushof or elsewhere. Building on the foundational experience, this retreat invites you to explore tango as a deeper, more energetic expression of mindfulness, connection, and flow.
Tango Zen is more than just a method of meditating through walking and dancing—it is a practice of mindful movement, where each embrace, step, and pause becomes an opportunity to cultivate presence, harmony, and emotional depth. By refining movement awareness and energetic connection, participants will experience tango as a transformative journey into self-discovery and profound connection.
What to Expect in the Advanced Retreat
Over four immersive sessions, you will engage in focused practices that awaken internal energy, refine sensitivity, and expand the quality of your connection—within and with others. Key elements include:
🔹 Meridian & Chakra Activation – Cultivate energetic awareness and flow through body-based practices.
🔹 Rhythmic Walking – Let go of control, trust the ground, and walk with natural presence.
🔹 Chakric Connection – Deepen emotional and energetic exchange with your partner.
🔹 Group Resonance & Pendulum Work – Sense the collective energy and attune to shared rhythm.
🔹 Circular & Minimal Movements – Rediscover joy and musicality through subtle, organic expression.
Rather than focusing on choreography or new steps, the advanced retreat sharpens your ability to sense, surrender, and express. Through mindful, minimalist movement, you will expand your capacity for connection—transforming tango into a path of self-discovery and shared resonance.
This retreat may be adapted to suit the composition and needs of the group.
