Chop wood, carry water.

- Zen Proverb

It's easy to get stuck in a never-ending cycle of watching YouTube videos of other dancers or teachers to learn as much as possible about tango. Even though it's important to learn from others, it's also important to remember that true growth comes from within.

Think about it: every time you walk down the street, you have the opportunity to improve your tango technique. Every time you clean your home, you have the opportunity to develop your musicality. Every time you engage in any activity, you have the opportunity to build your own character in your dance.

So instead of spending all your time watching others, try focusing on your own daily activities. Approach them with intention and mindfulness, and see how they can help you grow as a dancer. By embodying the spirit of "chop wood, carry water," you can cultivate a deeper sense of connection with yourself and the world around you.

Remember that there is more to tango than just learning steps and techniques. It's about using dance as a language to connect with yourself and with other people. So keep cutting wood and carrying water, and see where your tango journey takes you.
