Is tango a meditation? 💃🏾🧘🏿🕺🏾🧘🏿‍♀️

People often refer to tango as a dance, but it is much more than that. In fact, dancing the tango can be a kind of moving meditation. Like traditional meditation, tango requires you to pay attention to the here and now and become more aware of your body and breath. When you dance tango, you lose track of other things and let go of thoughts that don't help you in the moment. You can feel like you're in the flow and have a strong connection with yourself, your partner, and the music.

In tango, you and your partner move gracefully and smoothly together, responding to each other's movements and energy. This requires a level of focus and awareness that is similar to that of mindfulness meditation. As you dance, you become more aware of your own body and feelings, as well as those of your partner. You learn to pay close attention to the music and let it guide your movements. You learn to give in to the rhythm and let it take you to a state of blissful awareness.

Tango Zen is based on the idea that tango is more than just a dance—also it's a form of meditation that can help you become more self-aware, connect with others emotionally, and find peace within yourself. By combining the ideas of mindfulness and tango, you can gain a deeper understanding of both and find new ways to grow and be happy.
